Sabine Wetland Walkway Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Tucked away in the far southwestern corner of Louisiana, almost directly on the Texas-Louisiana border, in the middle of nowhere (or as close as you can get), you will find the Sabine Wetland Walkway.

Despite its location, this 1.4-mile cement and boardwalk path is a popular tourist destination, as people come from all over the country to this magnificent expansive marsh with its tall bullwhip grass and Roseau cane blowing in the breeze to view the many varieties of animals that live here, including northern shoveler, blue-winged teal, marsh rabbit, and maybe a glimpse of an alligator."
