Taylorsville Lake State Park: Lakeview Vista Trail Professional Review and Guide
"The Lakeview Vista Trail is a beautiful loop that skirts open meadows, runs through mature hardwoods, and dances along the edge of Taylorsville Lake. A relatively level hike, this is one that older kids can do while throwing rocks and shooting arrows. With a host of options available, the hike can easily be extended to accommodate those with stronger stamina. But timing is everything. Try to avoid midsummer, when the Jet-Ski traffic is heavy and the humidity is high. Both spring and fall afford the best lake views, offering either delicate wildflowers or autumn colors for visual interest."
