Staffordsville—Paintsville Lake State Park Professional Review and Guide
"Paintsville Lake and the campground are nestled among the wooded mountain coves of Eastern Kentucky. Teeming with wildlife and affording some great fishing, this campground should be on your bucket list of places to visit. The lake has one of the largest varieties of fish of any lake in Kentucky.
This deep, clear lake is home to largemouth and smallmouth bass, rainbow and brown trout, walleye, bluegill, crappie, catfish, and perch. The campground is easy to get to, and the parking and setup make getting around very simple, with flat pull-through or backin sites. You’ll want to come back to Paintsville again and again; camping in the beauty of this Appalachian region will provide memories for a lifetime."
