Daniel Boone National Forest, Salt Lick—Twin Knobs

Daniel Boone National Forest, Salt Lick—Twin Knobs Professional Review and Guide

"This is a great place to stay. It has it all, and it doesn’t matter if you’re in an RV or staying it a tent. While there is no store inside the campground, it’s a short drive to anything you might be looking for.

The campgrounds are in sections that border the lake, making it an easy walk to the water from almost any of the 216 sites. Some sites are made for double occupancy so that large families can stay together. Like with most Kentucky campgrounds, you can’t bring in firewood from out of state; nor can you use a chain saw in any of the campsites at Twin Knobs. Most of the roads are paved, and campsites have pea gravel in the camping area."
