The map provided @ trails.com is outdated. The park service rerouted this trail a number of years ago. If you follow the trail as outlined @ trails.com you end up on a portion of trail that is not maintained. If you want to follow the maintained trail, utilize the map provided from the Visitor Center. It is up-to-date. Regardless, we enjoyed the hike and are looking forward to hiking the Good Spring Loop Trail as defined by the Park Service.

Great easy trail but would be better if they kept the horses off of it. There were several places where horses have ruined the trail. Several really pretty springs along the way.

Detailed Trail Descriptions from Our Guidebooks

Jonny Molloy
"The Good Spring Loop Trail makes a circuit through the heart of the park backcountry. Nearly every backcountry trail either connects to this path or comes close to it. This path starts at Good Spring Church and circles the valley of Dry Prong. The highlights include Good Spring Church, homesites, Homestead backcountry campsite, Bluffs backcountry campsite, Collie Ridge backcountry campsite, and a good loop opportunity. The trail sees heavy use but remains in mostly good condition."
