Lawrence County Campground

Lawrence County Campground Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"One of the things that makes this campground popular is the shore camping. Many of the tent camping spots are right next to the water, making it easy to pull a boat very close to your campsite. This lake is popular for fishing bass; crappie, bluegill, and catfish are also found in abundance here and draw many anglers to the area.

This is also a popular campground for people who want to ride horses. Riding trails lead right out of the camping area and around the lake. Many of them lead to the water’s edge, where you can plan a picnic. The equine campsites are built so that you can park big rigs, including horse trailers. The check-in station is just up the hill, to the left of the main entrance."
