Rockcastle Narrows and Bee Rock

Rockcastle Narrows and Bee Rock Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This walk along the western side of the Rockcastle River, past the striking Rock- castle Narrows, leads to Bee Rock with an overlook with a view of the river valley. This hike follows the Rockcastle Narrows on the west bank, just across from the
Rockcastle River hike.

But the two treks are different in character. On this side the trail and woods have a more open, less remote feeling, and the hike is capped by an excellent view of the valley below. This vista is from the top of a cliff known as Bee Rock, so named because years ago it was supposedly the home of a large throng of honeybees."
