The Ned Branch Trail has not been managed for quiet some time. A easy 9 mile hike began to become cumbersome due to 20-30 fallen trees - I stopped counting ! Two bridges that needs repaired has also been neglected. Due to this, the vegatation has started to take over - proof in the poison ivy I acquired. Other than that, I had a great time! I had a beautiful Copperhead snake visit my "cooking rock". It must have been his den. The trail has lots of scenery. Both rivers are VERY low due to the lowering of Lake Cumberland. Majors repairs are being done on the dam.
