Holly Bay Campground Professional Review and Guide
"The sites here are mostly wooded, some with lake views. The campground offers single and double-family campsites, some of which have 20, 30, or 50 amp electric hookups. The sites have paved roads, gravel tent pads, picnic tables, and lantern poles. The campground is next to Holly Bay Marina, which offers boat rentals, a boat launch, and a grocery store. Laurel River Lake has a good population of largemouth and smallmouth bass, trout, bluegill, crappie, and catfish.
A fish-cleaning station is located a short distance from the campground, and hikers can hike the 4.2-mile Sheltowee Trace Trail, which leads from the campground to the dam. It’s also about 30 minutes by car to Cumberland Falls, a popular day destination. This campground rates high on my places to stay."
