A beautiful, peaceful campground nestled on a pretty lake. Lake Barkley is a man made reservoir but the serene beauty of its waters is simply wonderful. There is no electricity or water at the campsites, so it is primitive--but I love that secluded, quiet feeling. So many pleasant campsites to pitch a tent or RV here with picnic tables, fire pits and beautiful views. Bring your kids, dogs, and bikes. There is a bathroom with running water (but no showers), also vault toilets. It is not crowded and super affordable. You can also pull a boat here or just fish along the shore. There is so much wildlife! More than I imagined. The Land Between the Lakes Recreation Area is remote and a wonderful place to chill out and relax. My family totally enjoyed it. It is such a lovely, quiet spot.
