    Eureka Campground Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This campground screams “Let’s go fishing!” With all but five of the standard electric sites being waterfront sites, it’s clear that this campground is for campers with a passion for being near or on the water. The campground may be small, but it has all the musthave amenities necessary to enjoy the clear, blue-green waters of Lake Barkley. If you want to visit Kentucky Lake as well, it’s only a few miles away by boat or car. The canal is just across the lake, where you can pass from Lake Barkley to Kentucky Lake.

Some of the campsites have limited shade (Sites 21 through 26 are lakefront sites with the most shade). If you enjoy viewing wildlife, you shouldn’t need to look far. When the sun goes down, the wildlife begins to appear; deer and wild turkeys are commonly seen strolling by the wooded areas. Bald eagles nest on this end of the lake and can be spotted sailing the skies throughout the day. If fishing is your reason for camping, consider this campground."
