    Wranglers Horse Campground Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The USDA Forest Service hasn’t forgotten about the equestrian-minded camper. Most other Golden Pond complexes are off-limits to anything equine. However, this campground is all about your big four-legged beast. When I drove into this place, it was like stepping back in time. The smell of leather and horses filled the air on that hot July day. Everywhere I looked were some of the most beautiful horses I’ve ever seen.

Ten horse troughs, picket lines, and stalls are scattered around the campground. One hundred sixty-eight campsites are devoted to giving you the space and facility to enjoy your passion. The campground is located near Lake Barkley, in an area once used for agriculture. Years of farming have provided a level area for the campground, but little shade."
