This campground is a little bit different. It doesn’t cater to the weekend crowd. Rather, campers here are ones who come to stay for a week, if not much longer. Many campers here have to worry about cutting the grass around their site, they move in for so long. But there’s a lot of room to roam and plenty to keep you busy. At 1,030 acres, Woodland Mound and Park, which surrounds the campground, is fairly large. Its Seasongood Nature Center is a real treat. It’s home to a life-size replica sycamore tree that has doors; open them and you find birds and animals and information on each.
