For this part of the state, it was a pretty good trail. It provided enough distance, scenery, and varied terrain to for an experienced hiker to not be bored. We made a day trip out of it. We had to take a ferry across a short creek. If you have to take ther ferry, make sure you are back before it stops running for the day or you will add quite a bit to your drive taking the other way. We only saw two other people the whole time we were there. Ticks weren't so bad, even for the summer. The paths were a bit torn up but managable as long as you have good hiking boots.
