It is 2.5 miles long and begins at 9,946 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 5.2 miles with a total elevation gain of 3,200 feet. The Tioga Pass saddle is near the trailhead. There are also parkings and restrooms. The trail ends near Mount Dana (elevation 13,045 feet).
