This busy, suburban park, just south of the four-lane US 36 highway, offers 3.2 miles of trails shared by hikers and mountain bikers. You never quite leave civilization at Avon–Washington Township Park, but its location just outside Indianapolis makes it convenient for an after-work hike and a great location to introduce children to hiking.

Fun trails but not a lot of scenery. It is only a few miles from our home and provides a quick fix for getting out of the house.
