The trail to Wolf Cave, in McCormick's Creek State Park, was well-traveled this day, despite the cave entrance being closed to spelunking (I think to protect the bats from some disease killing them off across the nation). We just had a dusting of 2-3 inches of snow, yet the trail already had a dozen tracks. However, I was lucky to get started a little late (around 4:00) and did not see a single hiker for the roughly 3 mile loop. I made decent time (even with going a half-mile or so up the creek- amazing rock formations along it!) and made it back to the car just after 5:30. Conclusion: A fun, easy hike made awesome by the solitude and silence.

The trail is mostly gravel and fairly easy to walk. There are several small creek crossing that were simple to cross by stepping on stones in the creek bed. Wolf Cave was closed to protect the bats.

Good trail if you have small kids.
Took my 3 and 5 year old's they had no problem finishing the 2mi trail.
Twin bridges are worth looking at.
