Tank Spring Trail Professional Review and Guide

"This scenic hike is well worth the 1.5-hour drive from Louisville, particularly considering the other hiking opportunities in the area. Tank Spring is in southern Martin State Forest, just east of Shoals, Indiana. The hike climbs ridgetop before descending to Tank Spring, just south of Beaver Creek. The wildflowers, sandstone cliffs, and ice-cold water serve as natural complements to the human history of the springs."
