The main attraction of this trail is the observation deck near the beginning of the trail. I left the kids and my pregnant wife at the bottom and I climbed the steps alone to the deck. It was worth the climb as I was able to see beyond the surrounding dunes and see both Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline. Unfortunately, I did not complete trail since my family was waiting. This is the first sand trail I attempted and I must say I was surprised at the difficulty. It is definitely a good workout as the sand acts like weights on your feet.
