For the most part this was an easy hike with the exception of climbing a sand dune in pretty deep sand when re-entering the woods from the lake, as walking in sand is tiring enough let alone climbing a sand dune. The main downfall to this trail is there were many people using this trail for jogging which they tend to make too much noise. However, I did enjoy the trail once I was alone as I got a good view of some interesting things such as a great blue heron and two adult and one baby swans in a pond next to the bog, but the best part was viewing a big snapping turtle digging in the trail sand on the last leg of this trail. I would recommend this trail for those who are in the area but would do so during the week as there are probably less people jogging the trail.
