Of all the greenspaces in Chicago’s suburbs, Busse Woods is probably the most well known, earning it the nickname of “Chicago’s Backyard.” You can do it all here, from hiking, biking, and in-line skating through hardwoods and meadows on a state-ofthe- art paved trail, to fishing and boating on the 560-acre Busse Lake. This breezy, scenic walk winds in and out of upland forests fringed with prairies, and skirts the edges of deep blue, boat-filled waters.
