    Sumner Park

    Sumner Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This municipal park, steps from downtown Pecatonica, sits alongside the Pecatonica River and the Winnebago County Fairgrounds. The camping area is open, grassy, and minimally shaded. Campers sometimes pitch a tent here while paddling this stretch of the Pecatonica River.

Across the river is the 1,000-acre Pecatonica Wetlands Forest Preserve containing bottomland forest and oxbow pond marshes. In Pecatonica, you can also explore the Pecatonica Prairie Path, a rough-surfaced rail-trail."
