Marengo Ridge Hike

Marengo Ridge Hike Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"If you enjoy hikes through hilly terrain crisscrossed with intermittent streams and blanketed with dense groves of oak, hickory, and conifers, you’ll be charmed by this hike in southwestern McHenry County. Situated up on a ridge left by the last glacier, this wonderfully wooded landscape provides visitors with an unusually isolated atmosphere.

Dogs must be leashed. Marengo Ridge Campground (open May–October) offers 30 wooded sites, 6 of which are very nice walk-in sites."
