Salt Creek Trail

Salt Creek Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Aside from having no hills, Salt creek is one of the best trails in Cook County. The surrounding suburbs are beautifully sculpted. It's the sort of perfect community you might want to raise your children in. The trail along Salt Creek starts between Oak Brook and Hinsdale, reaching up into La Grange and ending in Brookfield.

Salt Creek is a winding, paved trail that's a little older than most others in the county, but it has the right touch of charm. It's forested almost the entire way. At some points backyards sleeve the path on both sides. In other places the trail meanders alongside slow-moving Salt Creek. But best of all, at the far end of the ride is the Brookfield Zoo. Things to see: Brookfield Zoo, Salt Creek."

Pleasant, easy paved bike trail. If you are looking to ride at a higher cadence, you won't be able to because the trail is very congested with families.
