"The Pomona Natural Bridge lies in the Shawnee National Forest and provides an ideal area for families to enjoy a natural playground that includes trail hiking, a natural bridge, and even a hidden cave. The sandstone bridge is 90 feet long and is as wide as 8 feet in some places. The bridge has slowly been carved out over the years and is anywhere from 20 to 30 feet off the ground. A small creek trickles below the bridge for most of the year but becomes much larger during the rainy seasons, when it attempts to continue wearing away the soft sandstone." Read more
