Skokie Trail Professional Review and Guide
"Anyone who knows the Chicago suburbs will tell you that the Skokie Trail is something for suburbanites to be proud of. The trail runs through the North Shore towns of Glenview, Northfield, Northbrook, Glencoe, Winnetka, and Wilmette. While you're on the trail, however, little more than a few residential houses peek through.
The dark asphalt trail runs straight north through Blue Star Memorial woods, Glenview Woods, and Harms Woods, then to the Skokie Lagoons, and on up to the Chicago Botanical Gardens. Talk about a great green oasis! And by the time you hit the botanical gardens, you may have turned green yourself: Fence-lined trails, long stretches of pavement, and dense forest shade make for some of the best flat-surface riding in Chicagoland. Through speed training is not permitted, this is a trail you can really haul through. Things to see: Skokie Lagoons, Chicago Botanical Gardens."
