The Prairie District is one of the lesser-known Chicago sights. It's south of Grant Park and west of Soldier Field on the other side of the train tracks. It's that place you can see from Lake Shore Drive near all the new condo development that seems to be taking over Chicago. This ride pieces together a part of Chicago that once was the creme de la creme. Though Grant Park is well used for events like Jazz-fest, Taste of Chicago, and the Chicago Marathon, it's underutilized on off weekends-which makes it the perfect place to ride through most of the time. Things to see: Heavy on weekdays.
