Oak Savannah/Prairie Duneland Trails Professional Review and Guide
"It’s surprising that the Oak Savannah Trail and the Prairie Duneland Trail aren’t better known in the region. Given the abundance of scenic spots that grab your attention and the generally quiet ambience along these trails, one would expect more cyclists saddling up here to enjoy the wetlands, parks, and plenty of wild and wooded terrain mixed in with patches of suburbia.
At mile 7, you’ll leave the trail and follow a 2.5-mile-long circuitous route along the quiet streets of Hobart. At nearly all the road crossings, be prepared to navigate around heavy metal gates that block vehicle access to the trail. The trail either runs underneath or over nearly every major road along the way."
