Mike Harris Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Mike Harris is located at the southeast edge of the Teton Valley, in the shadow of the Teton Mountains and just below the steep Teton Pass (which can be a formidable drive in winter, or even in summer if you’re pulling a heavy trailer).

This smallish, wooded campground is placed next to Mike Harris Creek, about 5 miles from Victor. Mike Harris was a resident, decades ago, near the present campground location. But forest service records turned up nothing more about how he lived, when he lived there, or even why it named a campground after him. A campground host is usually available."
