Agency Creek Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Quiet and hardly used except during hunting season—when hunters do pack in—this barely developed location is notable as the campground closest to the Lemhi Pass, which is on the Continental Divide (which also separates Idaho and Montana here).

This is where, in 1805, Meriwether Lewis and William Clark crossed into Idaho on their trek to the Pacific. A memorial to Sacajawea, the Indian guide who helped Lewis and Clark, has been placed at the top of the pass. Outside of hunting season the campground (usually) is almost perfectly peaceful."
