Right Fork of Fall Creek

Right Fork of Fall Creek Professional Review and Guide

"This popular trail heads into rugged mountain scenery and passes two alpine lakes.

The Right Fork of Fall Creek is yet another hanging valley that drops, along with the Left Fork and Surprise Valley, into Fall Creek. The Right Fork is the only one of these three valleys that has a lake with fish—Moose Lake. Therefore, it is by far the busiest of the hikes in Fall Creek described in this book, and the lake area can look a bit beaten out. The hike to Moose Lake is short from where the trail leaves the Fall Creek valley, but the elevation gain is considerable: 1,545 feet. The trail is well constructed, however, and easy to follow."
