Stanley Lake - Elk Meadows Loop Professional Review and Guide
"Sweet singletrack riding in elk meadows. Drop-dead gorgeous views of the north face of the Sawtooth Mountains. Located 5 miles west of Stanley. Tread: 1.8 miles of gravel road, 4.4 miles of singletrack, 6.3 miles of doubletrack. The Stanley Lake–Elk Meadows Loop has been a local standard in the Stanley area for years. It was one of the first mountainbike trails signed and developed by the Stanley Ranger District. The loop trail is an excellent activity as part of a weekend campout at Stanley Lake, and it’s a worthwhile ride to pick off as part of a multiday mountain bike and white-water adventure in the Stanley area. Strong intermediate ridersand teenagers should be able to handle the loop because of thelack of continuous strenuous climbing."

Fun trail for beginners. Nothing too technical but great single track riding. Some roads and if you do it clockwise, a bit of a climb at the beginning of the ride but a blast for me and my wife.
