Sheep Trail

Sheep Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Finding the campground: From Stanley drive 12.2 miles west on ID 21 to the Sheep Trail entrance; it is well signed.

The campground: Sheep Trail is a small, flat, shady outpost on the west side of the Stanley Basin, with what you might take as rustic charm (wooden fence posts and the like). This campground seems relatively oriented to groups. Fishing is a main draw; there’s close access to Trap and Valley Creeks (near ID 21 and within 100 yards or so of the campground)."
