Blind Creek

Blind Creek Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Blind Creek is the first campground you come to when turning off at Sunbeam to ride up into the Yankee Fork country on FR 013, a segment of the Custer Motorway also known as Yankee Fork Road. The Yankee Fork area was the scene of active dredging for gold, and vast piles of dredged- up rock are stacked along the Yankee Fork valley.

At the wooded Blind Creek area, relatively little of the mining district is evident. More of it is visible at the next two campgrounds, Flat Rock and Pole Flat. Blind Creek does have a nice overlook of the Yankee Fork River and a small supply center at Sunbeam Village about a mile away, but it is not secluded from the road. Be aware that bears are active in the area, so take precautions. Pets are allowed."
