Trail Creek

Trail Creek Professional Review and Guide

"This is a nice long walk through an area burned in 1988 with subsequent good regeneration. This is a very pleasant trail in late June and again in late August through September, although late September is hunting season, and you must wear hunter orange for safety.

Because the trail is mostly in the sun and at relatively low elevation, midsummer is perhaps a bit hot. The trail leaves the parking area and follows the former road along the willow-bottomed Jackknife Creek. Several side trails are available. Watch for moose here and throughout the hike."
