Eightmile Canyon/Cold Springs Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Both of these campgrounds are in Eightmile Canyon, in wooded areas. Both are relatively primitive, with picnic tables, fire rings, and toilets, but not much more (no water). Garbage is strictly pack it in, pack it out. A forest service guard station is located nearby.
The most remarkable feature of these campgrounds (and Emigration as well) is the location within a short walk of part of the proposed Great Western Trail, a corridor and collection of trails that would run from Canada to Mexico. In Idaho part of the trail would run west of Bear Lake in national forest land along the higher mountain reaches. More information about the trail is available at gwt.org"
