Wallace Lake Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Finding the campground: From Salmon drive 3.2 miles north on US 93 to just south of Carmen, then 14 miles northwest on FR 023 (Stormy Peak Road), then 4 miles south on FR 020 (Ridge Road).

Generally good gravel travel and suitable for high-clearance cars and pickups. Tight switchbacks in some places could make this a rough ride for RVs and trailers; passable for experienced backcountry drivers but otherwise not recommended for larger vehicles. Check in advance for road conditions, as these can vary with the season."
