Iron Lake

Iron Lake Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Both tents and trailers are allowed here, but this is a very primitive site that takes quite a bit of work to get to. It is a well-forested location at the center of several trails, and the fishing location high up on Iron Creek (this campground is near its headwaters) as well as in Iron Lake (which is close by) is pristine. Plan to take a little while getting here, and be fully stocked before you come.

Finding the campground: From Salmon drive 5 miles south on US 93, then 12 miles west on Williams Creek Road (FR 021), and then at Williams Summit turn left and go 21 miles south on FR 020."
