Seven Devils/Windy Saddle

Seven Devils/Windy Saddle Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Because of the challenges accessing this area, these campgrounds (which are less than a mile apart) are recommended for tenting or similar camping, rather than RVing. There are rewards for getting here, though, and it is popular with serious backcountry enthusiasts in Idaho. This is one of the campgrounds in the Hells Canyon Recreation Area, and from here—high up in the Seven Devils—you get a view that reaches well into three states (Idaho, Oregon, and Washington).

These are rare sites that combine spectacular views with pleasant, forested locations. A long trail (the Snake River National Recreation Trail) along the high ridges of the Seven Devils runs through (both north and south) the campgrounds. Four camping sites are set up for horseback riders and stock. There’s no water available locally, so bring your own."
