Whitetail–Shoeffler Butte Loops

Whitetail–Shoeffler Butte Loops Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The Whitetail Loop is aptly named. White-tailed deer are common all along the way, as are bear tracks and sign. Generally following easy grades, the route traverses the open forests typical of the inland Northwest. By adding the Shoeffler Butte Loop to the trip, you climb to the highest point in Heyburn State Park, with its better views. Much of this hike follows primitive fire roads.

This trail is open to hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians. Dogs are prohibited."
