Cedar Loop

Cedar Loop Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Climb through the forest above Chatcolet Lake, and stop at a bench or table for lunch and to take in the view. White-tailed deer are common all along this trail. The Cedar Loop is hiker only. The portion of this loop that follows the Rocky Top Trail is multi-use (hikers, mountain bikers, and horses). Dogs must be leashed.

Angle across the highway to the trailhead and climb a short distance through the western red cedar and Douglas fir forest to the railroad tracks. Be careful crossing the tracks. A few yards past the tracks is the trail junction where you turn right to begin the loop. The route continues to climb, and before long a view of Chatcolet Lake appears to your right."
