CCC Nature Trail

Plummer, Idaho

CCC Nature Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Hike through the beautiful mixed conifer forest above Chatcolet Lake on a self-guided nature trail. The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Company #1995 constructed the CCC Trail in 1937, at the height of the Great Depression.

Be sure to pick up a copy of the Civilian Conser vation Corps Company #1995 Nature Trail pamphlet at the visitor center before you start this hike. Not only is this pamphlet a guide to the flora at each of the nature trail markers, it also gives you an interesting overview of the Civilian Conservation Corps’s contributions to Heyburn State Park.

This trail is open to hikers only. Dogs are prohibited."
