Pine Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The operative word here is “boating”—that is the reason to camp here. The campground has shaded tables, but the campground site is out in the sun, beach- style. However, there are fine boat launches here (when the reservoir water levels are high enough); this recreation area is comanaged (with the forest service) by the Elmore County Waterways Commission.

Water skiing is notably popular here. There’s also an airplane landing strip about 0.25 mile away. The road is paved up to the campground, which lies between the road and the reservoir. (On the other side of the road is a new housing development, which may help explain the paving up to this point.) Bring your own drinking water; this campground has none."
