Calamity/Bear Creek

Calamity/Bear Creek Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Calamity is a well-developed campground, one of the few on the south shore of Palisades Reservoir. A wooded and forested campsite, it offers only limited views of the reservoir. This hosted campground offers RV-suitable spaces only in some locations; Loop C is considered too tight for turnarounds.

From here, however, ambitious boaters can access the reservoir. Bear Creek is a more remote and primitive area, good for fishing and hunting—but don’t plan on bringing your RV back here, as the road is very narrow, steep, and rough."
