Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This is one of the more popular campgrounds in the Sagehen area, which on the map lies north of Ola and west of Smiths Ferry—though you’d have a hard time being sure of that after twisting around on the mountain roads connecting those two places. Antelope is close by a small reservoir—boating is made easy with a boat launch and ramp here—and located in a forested basin area.

The most popular activity here, though, is fishing; the aforementioned reservoir is stocked annually with trout by the state Department of Fish and Game. The campground is also a good staging area for elk, deer, and bear hunting. Several hiking trails are available. Three wells (with hand pumps) provide drinking water, but this is a standard forest service campground, which means amenities are relatively spartan."
