Northern Pacific Trail

Mullan, Idaho

Northern Pacific Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Traveling through deep forests and up a steady incline to Lookout Pass on the Idaho-Montana border, this trail on a dirt road is known for its remoteness, scenery, and potential wildlife sightings.

It is a continuation of the Union Pacific Railroad that served the Silver Valley in Idaho. During winter it is a popular trail for snowmobiles. The town of Mullan is the start of the multiuse Northern Pacific Trail and the eastern terminus of the nonmotorized Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes."
