Ponderosa State Park

Ponderosa State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Finding the campground: From downtown McCall, where ID 55 turns left at the Hotel McCall, take Lakeside Road north along Payette Lake about 3 miles to the park. The campground: One of the plushest and one of the larger (and one of the more expensive) public campgrounds in Idaho, Ponderosa has a little bit of everything.

It is both richly wooded and full of great views out on Lower Payette Lake. Trails from here abound, for both hikers and bicyclists. A covered shelter is available for group picnics. Note also the nearby lookout, to which you can bike or drive and which provides excellent views of the whole lake area."
