Mackay Reservoir

Mackay Reservoir Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Technically it’s now called the Joseph T. Fallini Campground, but it’s long been known as the Mackay Reservoir campground. Mackay Reservoir tends to rise and fall dramatically depending on water conditions—the water here is used for farm irrigation.

The park is located next to what is one of the reservoir’s shorelines; when the reservoir is full, a boat ramp and docks are available for use. When the water’s down, just leave your boat at home and enjoy the picnicking. This is a mostly open- air campground, which has scattered trees for shade."
