Grand Jean Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The private Sawtooth Lodge and swimming pool area here are popular with Boise- area residents, and the nearby campground, with its fine location near the South Fork of the Payette River, gets plenty of attention, too.

As with many campgrounds in this region, there are hot springs in the area; some are too hot for use, but others are refreshing natural spas. Grand Jean also has access to several mountain hiking trails, including Big Meadows, Sawtooth Lake, and Baron Lakes. It is also a good jumping- off point for the Sawtooth Wilderness Area, the border of which is just a few miles south."
