Prairie Creek Loop

Prairie Creek Loop Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The Prairie Creek Loop accesses scenic mountains and several subalpine lakes.

Trail 133, the Prairie Lakes Trail, leaves the trailhead as an obvious wide path. You immediately come to the West Fork of Prairie Creek fl owing across the trail, which requires an easy wade until late summer. It could be difficult at the peak of snowmelt in mid-June. Across the creek, the wide trail continues, leading you into forest. The trail climbs briefly, about an 80-foot gain, up, into, and across a rocky area."
